As a tour operator, we are required to make our booking conditions available to you before a booking is confirmed. We send our booking form to you by email, which includes the Terms and Conditions. Our Ts & Cs are detailed below:-
Walk The Camino ltd is compliant with The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.
We provide full financial protection for our package holidays by way of a bond held by ABTA – The Travel Association, 30 Park Street, London, SE1 9EQ, www.abta.com. You agree to accept that in the event of our insolvency ABTA may arrange for the services you have bought to continue, or for a suitable alternative to be provided at the same cost as your original booking. You also agree to accept that in circumstances where the travel service supplier provides the services you have bought, you agree to pay any outstanding sum under your contract with us to that alternative travel service provider. However, you also agree that in some cases the services will not be provided, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under ABTA’s Scheme of Protection (or your payment card issuer where applicable) for a refund of the monies you have paid.
WALK THE CAMINO is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the current Package Travel Regulations all passengers booking with WALK THE CAMINO are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of WALK THE CAMINO
This Policy is issued by Evolution Insurance Company Limited which is registered in Gibraltar No. 88737 with a registered office at 5/5 Crutchett’s Ramp, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA.
Evolution Insurance Company Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission in Gibraltar and authorised and subject to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK. Details about the extent of our authorisation and regulation by the FCA are available from us on request.
In the unlikely event of Insolvency of WALK THE CAMINO please follow the procedures below:
Claims should be submitted in writing, supported by documented evidence quantifying the value of the claim, to: Evolution Insurance Solutions Limited, 53A High Street, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB10 1AA or via email to [email protected]
Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid back to you by your Travel Insurance or any losses which are recoverable under another insurance or bond (with the exception of Credit and Debit card). This policy will also not cover any loss sustained by Passenger(s) booked on a flight-inclusive package sold and commencing within the United Kingdom.
ABTA Membership – what it means for our clients
We are a Member of ABTA, membership number Y6364. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. We can also offer you ABTA’s scheme for the resolution of disputes which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www.abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www.abta.com. You can also access the European Commission Online Dispute (ODR) Resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. This ODR platform is a means of registering your complaint with us; it will not determine how your complaint should be resolved.
Please read our terms and conditions carefully. These conditions, along with any other information given to you at the time of booking, set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you and Walk The Camino Ltd, (Registered Address Caledonian House, Evanton Drive, Glasgow G62 8JT.
Once your tour has been confirmed by email, we will accept responsibility for it in accordance with these conditions as an “Organiser” under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

Full details of payment method are provided on both your deposit and balance invoices and you will receive confirmation of these payment transactions.
Walk the Camino Ltd does not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties
Should any client wish to cancel, cancellation charges will be imposed. If you have paid the holiday deposit, this cancellation charge allows us to retain any deposit paid.
Amendment charges are not refundable in the event of cancellation. We strongly recommended you take out comprehensive travel insurance which includes cover against cancellation charges. Depending on the reason for the cancellation, you may be able to reclaim the cancellation charges (less any applicable excess) under the terms of your personal insurance policy. All claims must be made directly to your own insurance company. There are now travel insurance policies available which offer some cover for COVID related expenses. If you have a problem during your holiday, please contact our offices between 9 and 5 pm. You can also call, email or text our out-of-office team who are available to you 24 hours a day during your trip. These contact details are included in your travel pack. They will do everything we can to assist you and solve the problem at the time. We strongly advise that you discuss any complaint directly with the supplier concerned so they have the opportunity to correct any problem at that time. If your complaint is not resolved at the time, you can email us at [email protected] with your booking reference and all relevant information. We will investigate the matter with the intention of providing you with an acceptable solution.
We advise clients that Personal Travel Insurance Policies are widely available. It is a condition of your holiday booking with us that you take out a suitable policy before you travel. You must carry your insurance documents with you on holiday. It’s your responsibility to check that the Policy is appropriate for the type of holiday you are taking. It should cover elements such as cancellation, curtailment, injury, illness or repatriation costs during your holiday with us. Walk The Camino is not responsible for any losses or expenses that you incur as a consequence of your failure to take out adequate travel insurance.
Walk The Camino takes your privacy seriously and complies with Data Protection Act 1998. We collect limited data from our clients when they make an initial enquiry. These details are for internal use during the process of preparing your holiday quote and itinerary.
We may request some or all of the following information when you make a booking:-
This information is only for internal use, so that we may provide you with a comprehensive service and back up support during your holiday with us.
We do not share your personal information with any third party organisations unless they are directly involved in the arrangements of your holiday, such as hoteliers, guides and transfer operators.
We may add your name and email contact to our mailing database unless you have ticked the unsubscribe box on the web enquiry when you made your online enquiry.
You have a statutory right to see any information that we hold about you on file.

Optional costs are clearly stated at the start of the booking process and detailed on your booking invoice.
